Lions head coach Ivan van Rooyen has made several changes for their Currie Cup clash against Griquas in Kimberley on Friday.
In the backline, centre Burger Odendaal and fullback Duncan Matthews are welcomed back to the fray. Odendaal will be running out in his 50th Currie Cup match.
Up front, prop Sti Sithole and hooker Jaco Visagie move up from the bench along with lock Reinhard Nothnagel. Flanker Ruhan Straueli will also make his first Currie Cup start of the season.
On the bench, the Lions welcome back Travis Gordon, while Ross Cronje will also look to get some Currie Cup action.
The Lions lost 36-33 at home to the Pumas last week and currently lie sixth on the standings with a solitary win.
Griquas, meanwhile, are third on the log with four wins. They will be looking to do the double over the Lions, having beaten the men from Johannesburg 41-31 at Ellis Park on 21 July.
Friday's match kicks off at 14:30.
