A man has been sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment for his part in a R12 million robbery at a Fidelity Security Services premises in KwaZulu-Natal.
On Tuesday, the KwaZulu-Natal High Court sitting in Madadeni sentenced Mgeyi Gumede to 15 years' imprisonment for robbery with aggravating circumstances, Hawks spokesperson Colonel Katlego Mogale said.
The robbery happened in September 2017 when a group of heavily armed men entered the Fidelity Security Services premises in Vryheid and held the security guards at gunpoint.
