Scoring goals 'not a burden', says AmaZulu's Ntuli

Cape Town - Red-hot AmaZulu striker Bongi Ntuli says he doesn't resent having to score all of the KwaZulu-Natal side's goals this season.

Ntuli has ten goals this campaign and is second on the Absa Premiership goal scorers' charts, tied with SuperSport United's Bradley Grobler and Kaizer Chiefs' Samir Nurkovic.

Ntuli has scored all but one of his side's goals in the Absa Premiership this season, but the 28-year-old doesn't mind helping out for the cause of the team.

Usuthu are lagging in the relegation zone in 15th position, tied on 16 points with Black Leopards and bottom-placed Polokwane City.

"I don't see it as a burden, I just see it as trying to help my team to compete and win games," Ntuli told SowetanLIVE.

"We have to try to get out of the situation we are in at the moment (relegation zone).

"When I signed a contract here it was because I just wanted to play, and I am happy to be doing that.

"This season has just been difficult because we had some changes in the team and a new coach was brought in."

The forward says the important thing is the team's survival. "I don't care how many goals I score, that is not important. It's no use I score 20 goals, but the team gets relegated."
