Thanks for your very insightful letter. I would have rather not allowed Jacob Zuma to derail the focus of the country and the movement away from mandate of the Zondo commission of inquiry because that is precisely what his outburst is intended to achieve.
I am however aware of the danger of leaving such claims as Zuma made unchallenged. The one obvious danger is that our silence might be interpreted as confirmation of those claims.
My one question to Zuma would be: if he knew that Ngoako Ramatlhodi was a spy, why did he allow him to work so close with Oliver Tambo?
